Sometimes, when you invoke the appraisal clause, the two appraisers get in a sticky situation where they don’t agree and one tries to make up unwritten rules on the idea of “that is what we have always done”.
This case was one of those.
The owner had been through a pretty horrific hail storm and his new vehicle was totaled in the process. When he got his offer, he felt like it was pretty low. We took a look and agreed that his valuation contained the typical problems they normally do and seemed to be several thousand dollars off.
Thomas was one of those customers that really mulled over the decision to pursue his diminished value.
He got a free claim consultation and months passed before he finally called back in ready to fight for his 2013 GMC Acadia Denali diminished value and he walked away with $4,000!
Our client, Ed, started his claim out the right way and that was by doing his research about 2013 Chrysler 200 diminished value while his car was still in repair and requested a free consultation with us right away.
He was fighting with an insurance company that was open-minded about being fair when giving him an offer and a little back and forth on his end got him a settlement of $2000!
I saw the middle stages of a little Ford Focus Hatchback taking a hit, flipping in mid-air, and the aftermath that ensued. As soon as I heard it, I looked out my window in my office because I like to work with the blinds open and sun shining in and I saw metal pieces and tires flying everywhere and a small car flipping once, twice, then landing right side up. It was like watching slow motion video and then stillness. I was scared to death that someone was badly hurt or even dead because there was no movement for a second. I yelled to Justin who was cooking us some gourmet lunch at the time and he yelled “Call 911!” and dashed out the door. While calling 911, I saw movement and a young woman jumped out of the car and ran around to the passenger side….to get her infant child out. The baby was moving and seemed to be fine but in shock and the man in the truck said he was okay but stayed in his truck, probably in shock as well. The 911 operators were great, quickly taking down the info they needed and with a sound in their voice like they were eager to help. It was refreshing considering the stories we have all seen on the news about people at the 911 command having a bad day or lackadaisical attitude that ends up costing valuable time and lives.
We know…its been a while since we last posted and there is good reason for that!
Let’s get caught back up on happenings since we have been gone:
Summer was on fire and our son was Flounder in the local musical theater production of The Little Mermaid! Here is a little taste of our local musical theater star in action:
Movin’ On Up!!
With over 5 years under our belt, we have been growing like wildfire and more attorneys, consumers and insurance professionals than ever are approaching us for help getting justice on diminished value and total loss property damage claims. We have been working closely with several attorneys that are helping our clients settle their claims when the insurance company they are pursuing sticks their feet in the mud with a low offer or denial.
With our growth we face new challenges and work every day to perfect our processes and every new year gives us a chance to grow as humans and business owners. We are excited at the opportunities we have in this new year and have a goal to post more info than ever before to help you find answers you are desperately googling for when it comes to the confusing insurance claims process because we know there aren’t many folks like us out there that will freely give you the RIGHT answer. We are proud of our business and can’t wait to see what this year holds and we thank our family, friends and clients who have made us what we are today!
After sailing through our day as normal, something was pulling at me all day so Justin and I started discussing when we opened the business and pulled up our LLC Formation paperwork and low and behold, today was DEFINITELY a special day for us! We have put five long years of passion for helping auto accident victims into our very own entrepreneurial endeavor and started with little to our name and today is our happy happy birthday and we’re five years old!
There have been many changes over the years and, entering our sixth year, we have never felt better about the direction our business is taking us in. We are in a huge growth mode this year and unbelievably excited thinking of what the rest of 2014 and the next 5 years have in store for us! We are so thankful to great family and friends that have been there to support us and help us through the sometimes very stressful but rewarding mission we are on to change the industry we are in and get people the real help that is hard to come by. We believe Ghandi had it right when he said “You must be the change you wish to see in the world” and that has brought us the most reward doing what we love…together….without killing each other…. haha
Here’s to the next 5 years and making some real change, authentically and with a purpose!
Scares & Startles are the Petty Details We Love today!
Through the years of being a couple, Justin and I have shared some hearty, gut-busting laughs at the expense of others or each other (mostly Justin laughing, me getting scared) through scares and startles and we have passed that love down to our dear son. This morning, Justin got a great laugh at my expense again during a short meeting and that inspired me to make scares & startles the Petty Details we love for our post today!
Colossal has done it again! They continue to bring the most beautiful detailed works of art to light and their website is full of a million more where this one came from. Taken directly from adjuster training school handbook
Here are some samples from the actual handbook that explains exactly why you are crazy if you believe in diminished value, especially as an adjuster (personal vehicles excluded, of course). There is no such thing as diminished value – we’ll keep it short. . .
Another success to brag about and this time it’s a 2013 Kia Sorento diminished value win!
Amber had a pretty bad wreck with over $10,000 damages to her 2013 Kia Sorento and luckily she hired a law firm that was familiar with our stellar diminished value services and decided to hire us for the case.
The claim was against an insurance company that is notorious for just saying no, no matter what, but that never stops us from fighting!
