She had taken careful care of her rare modern collectible vehicle and was not going to take less than she was owed when fighting for her diminished value.

Carl had an $8000 repair on his 2012 Infiniti G25 after he was rear-ended in an auto accident and he was looking for more info on Diminished Value.  He couldn’t find an attorney to help him with a property damage only claim and he was stuck until an attorney helped him find us.  After reviewing his claim, we formulated our opinion at around $5000 for his Infiniti diminished value claim. Steve got in a serious accident with over $17,000 in repairs to his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.  His injury attorney helped him research Diminished Value and that is when he found us!  His truck puts in a lot of heavy duty miles, being a work truck, so Steve knew that he had suffered a loss that he would pay for the second he decides to trade in.  (more…)

Where do some of these “diminished value experts” people get off?

I agree that insurance companies are not so inclined to pay diminished value, and people sometimes get dollar signs in their eyes when they are involved in an accident that is not their fault.  The reality is that diminished value exists, but it is definitely hard to prove. There are arguments that adjusters use all the time to try and dismiss a valid claim and save a few bucks.  The problem is that most of the “diminished value experts” out there have never actually been adjusters.  Through a little research of my own, I have found that at least four of the companies that heavily advertise diminished value services have never even had an adjuster’s license, much less actual experience adjusting.
